Bruce Pandolfo At last an LP from these fellas! Grandiose, soulful, adventurous. The 5OTE boys manage to be progressive yet accessible, displaying their virtuoso talents in a way that is artful beauty without being pretentious. That is a hard line to toe.... every instrument, the vocals and lyrics are all top-notch and cohesive! Even their odd-time signature choices feel musical rather than forced. I've yet to be disappointed and can't stop listening! My favorites change with every listen, but currently the dynamics and beauty of "Passenger" is really doing it for me. Favorite track: Passenger.

Atmosphere 04:01
Atmosphere! Do we enter on our own? Grab the wheel As I'm passing through the dome The ego of the masses The king in the pit Here to elevate and to witness The great moment of the fall The great consciousness Take me from the dirty mouth Of the madness Of the madness on the ground The great consciousness Manifest the jaguar Of the madness Of the madness for the crown This life I want to be reborn again If only for a chance to be with you Again All this time if fades away As we're bleeding like the sun I'm falling through the atmosphere We see our destiny
2.
Wasteland 04:10
Shot calls clearly defined The veil is a thin deja vu Shown through the lens of time Why do the curtains close Beyond these stages of old? The weak seek the power of the blind Return to the wasteland Return to the wasteland Who escapes the ashen road In a dustbowl? Who can speak With their mouth full of dirt? They fence them in Those that fought so long and hard To escape that tidal militant We split the ocean only to find An upside down flag And a simple sign Return to the wasteland Return to the wasteland Unity can be through numerous means Am I the hero? Holding the last flower Of this kaleidoscope? Point me in That same direction Of those who fell in line Why do they stand to obey? I shook the arrow And sent you through a shockwave All the people stood and stared Then we fought through the disarray Return to the wasteland Return to the wasteland Who escapes the ashen road In a dustbowl? Who can speak With their mouth full of dirt?

Mirrors 04:25
I walked out in the moonlight Crazed, unable to fight And you stayed behind and stayed up late You left the lights on As a vigil in the night You woke me up to burn me down The only time I feel alive Is in the heat Reaction creeps I want to burn this city down Your smile is full of pain That I have caused But not all is lost Broken pieces Mirror daydreams Cut my fingers Trying to put them back together Come to me My love and savior Your open arms Are enough for me to surrender Those that shatter Leave pieces on the floor Broken pieces Mirror daydreams Cut my fingers Trying to put them back together Come to me my love and savior Into your open arms I'll surrender
4.
Space Is 04:34
I saw a super-sized event Multiple collisions Quarantined abysmal But it's all a distraction Save the sequel Representing One voice Is not enough to Control I thought I heard it all before Won't you help me 'Cause these walls are closing in I'm a digital god And you're my virtual fox This is a simulation I told you once before This is how you simulate A missed connection A catalyst projection Childlike narrative dimension Cause for closure I'm sick and tired Of watching these planets revolve But is it all For nothing now? One voice Is not enough to Control I thought I heard it all before These darkened streets are where I belong Holding onto a song While I fade into the blackness You tell me This is a simulation I told you once before This is how you simulate One voice Is not enough to Control I thought I heard it all before
5.
Passenger 04:27
Can you take me out tonight? I know the rules we play But if it's how you feel Then something's bound to break Courage Starts with one word Can you take me out tonight? There's a curious creature That dwells inside of me Picking its teeth with my bones Courage Starts with one word The part about you that is holy danger Show me your mask and steady gaze Take me from these lips worn so Caress my summer nights and watch me glow Your smile is my smile There's nothing better than to share this So why must we part ways Just when we shed this masquerade? Can you take me out tonight? I know the rules we break But if it's how you feel I know where it hurts I know it is our ego Courage Starts with one word
6.
Lust To Dust 05:40
Energize the tactical And recognize where your feeling lies You told me you can lead But can you lead us from the path? Circumnavigate what puppet does and weave together A cradle for my maker Just take my hand And pass the rest around Take a seat; sit beside the other four Let us begin so that we may see again We take the ritual to heart And solemn silence enthralls When we awoke it was a new light No more dazed delusions to hide The woven path is clear Step to your own two legs Stick upon your web of lies The way you talk it's clear You're an animal The door on the wall is grained and definitive Upon the other side leaks into dissonance The handle turned reminds me subliminally Of all that I am The moonlight crosses the fading light The trees bend in near Close to the sight No more dazed delusions to hide The woven path is clear Step to your own two legs Stick upon your web of lies The way you talk it's clear You're an animal Sedated past Watching the first become the last On a screen built around me These silver linings worn by highlands How am I this creep? Creeping the ways How you push me through the day How you get me through the day I'll never know But if it wasn't for the show Watch me pull these stars right from the sky To our own demise Push me, shove me, love me, fuck me Show me, scold me, told me You told me lately How can this be? If a person is lonely And if I say what I mean to say A parallel is it that different than you or me? For each other only for will be another's life

Oblivion 05:35
My bone bends and breaks Exoskeleton I feel myself separate From my own skin A change from within Waves crash the expanse Flooding into darkness As oblivion retreats A sanctuary within When you believe in nothing The focus is escape My wings form and wake In the end it's what we do to survive A torturous escape Hold strong, it begins! When you believe in nothing But you learn to say goodbye Body is torn apart Shell is left behind No sky closes on me No breath broken with lungs For my body is no more So I fly straight into the sun Is it all annihilation? Or are we born from the surface of the sun? Body is torn apart Shell is left behind No sky closes on me No breath broken with lungs For my body is no more So I fly straight into the sun

Monsoon 04:08
Gasp of air from the doctor's table The stillness is what's left I walk these streets unstable And all it does is take more water from my glass The voice in my head says Drink deep and let go Watch the landslide Bring down a mountain I thought would last And the dust won't seem to settle No, the dust won't seem to settle Clouds of my father's Ashes to ashes We all fall down Tumbling into the grave Lids close, eyes roll Your dreams know how to awake Through the slate sky I squint As I sit beside the grey wall On the concrete steps and wonder Were these two lives, with one hide Always like this Like oil and water? And my stubbornness is a burden Mother says it's a gift A gift from my father's Ashes to ashes We all fall down Tumbling into the grave Lids close, eyes roll Your dreams know how to awake Everyone can see the signs on the road They get smaller and smaller the farther and faster you go And mistakes have always been made, when you look closer Doesn't it all seem strange? As you circle out again I awoke with that littleness That settles, settles, settles, deep in the pit The hourglass is thin on love But thick with the sick
9.
Delta 04:43
Old and new Is nothing compared To the moment I'm with you And that feeling when we both surrender To the innermost cry To the innermost desire Only you Can show me how Vanity Can drag us down So you build a wall Only to fall Back into the water Watch it carry you away Old and new The current pulls Back into the water Back into the water You surrender To the innermost cry To the innermost desire Wait, don't you want to be alive? Drown our love While we die of thirst Lips start the fire As we begin the search River eyes watching from afar Have we learned nothing Trying to remember The water as it falls The current as it pulls The river as it pulls Pull me in the river water Pull me in the river water Pull me in the river water Pull me in the river water Surrender To the innermost cry To the innermost desire

"Coming at you with explosive beauty, the lead song, Atmosphere, transports you to an ethereal plane of existence. Having accomplished that elusive task that has baffled failed songwriters for generations, the album then far exceeds the standard set by the first track." - Moshpit Nation

Produced and engineered by Jonathan Wyman at The Halo, the new album musically picks-up where the band left off with their self-produced sophomore EP Hierophantasm. However, with Wyman acting as both producer and engineer, the songs off The Venus Transit soar to stunning new heights, previously unachievable in the confines of the band's home studio. The flawless fidelity, matched by equally impressive performances by all five members, makes for a listening experience unlike anything that the band has produced to date.

Mastered by Grammy award winning engineer Adam Ayan at Gateway Mastering Studios, the album is an impressive sonic journey that will appeal to music lovers of all types. To try and pigeonhole the band into one genre would be to do them a massive disservice, because while they tend to toe the prog-rock line, Five of the Eyes have dedicated themselves to creating a sound and aesthetic that is uniquely their own. Now with a stellar new album under their belt, a fall tour on the books, and a hunger to be heard, these five small-town boys are ready to take on the world one face-melting show at a time.
